De lo increíble

Esta es una lista de canciones que fueron denominadas "de texto cuestionable" por el Clear Channel (conglomerado mediático estadounidense) a raíz del 9/11.

No voy a preguntar ni a preguntarme cómo es posible que alguien llegara a la conclusión de que una canción como What A Wonderful World podría resultar ofensiva para los familiares de las víctimas del atentado, porque si hay una respuesta creo que la temo de antemano, ni voy a despotricar contra los americanos porque hoy no es día para críticas.

Eso si, tienen que estar hasta la coronilla de "La Piragua de Guillermo Trujillo" y "La Guarapachanga" que al parecer fue lo único que se libró de la censura.

  2. A mi me parece que querían sacarle provecho a la sensibilidad de los familiares y matar dos pájaros de un tiro. Rage Against The Machine, el Ozzy, Metallica, Alice In Chains,Cat Stevens... le dieron con todo a cualquier cosa que les olió a subversión. Y como entre col y col ha de haber lechuga, pues Amstrong y Frankie. Pa despistar, vaya.

    En USA hay cien mil organizaciones, generalmente privadas, que hacen lo que les da la gana. Se hacen listas de las cosas más inverosímiles y encuestas de cuánto te demoras en parquear tu carro en un lote de un supermercado, pero nada de esto es de obligatorio cumplimiento ni le importa a cualquiera, la libertad que se practica aquí es tan incomprensible que no se entiende cómo le hacen un mitin de repudio a Pablo Milanés y después llenan el teatro.
    Esa lista es solo un lista de una compañía que nadie le hizo el menor caso, ni siquiera las propias afiliadas, incluso Clear Channel niega que realmente se haya pasado.

    Era un sobreentendido desde el comienzo del blog que la lista de los artistas a censurar había sido cosa de algunos acatada por nadie, de ahí el tono de chanza.

    La ironía reina en este blog, puesto que Mariana es fan. Y a los americanos les tiramos un día sí y otro también, al ritmo de la marea. Así somos no más.

    (Uff, las explicaciones de lo obvio. Ves, Charles, por qué no me acaba de gustar el magisterio?)
